Pinstripe Suit is a fun, lively, high-energy six-piece swing and vocal jazz ensemble.
Pinstripe Suit offers two types of performances, one designed specifically for swing dance clubs, the other specialising in adding classic vocal jazz and funk classics for function work.
Robin Phillips is the arranger and band-leader of Pinstripe and is joined onstage by a collection of highly-talented musicians who combine intricate ensemble playing with inspiring solo capabilities.
Jazz vocalist, Kirsty Jarvis, adds the second voice to the ensemble providing electric performance and sophisticated vocal harmony delivery. Together, Robin and Kirsty present an engaging and exciting front line vocal team.
Few bands can rival the ensemble’s mix of classic vocal jazz with energetic upbeat swing and funk. Pinstripe Suit is one of only a few bands covering the swing genre from across the 20th century, including the exciting '90s revival in the US.
Pinstripe Suit has performed at the London Swing Dance Society's 'Stompin' night at the famous 100 Club and have also performed for swing dance societies in and outside of London.
The band can olso offer a classy alternative to a regular function band, including swing, Ratpack, jazz standards, and classic funk music into their performances.
